CEO and Founder of CARBON Group ​

Mr. Heilig is Founder and CEO of the CARBON Group which is active in identification, design, financing, implementing and operating of climate protection projects mainly under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the UNFCCC. The projects in operation are located in Africa, Asia and Latin America and account for more than 45 Mio. tons of CO2e verified and certified emissions reductions avoided from 2005 until 2020.  Additionally, the group is active in developing, financing, building and operating renewable energy projects with special emphasis on solar power and hydro power projects in Europe and Latin America. Furthermore, Mr. Heilig is also shareholder of Heilig Immobilien GmbH, an innovative property developer with many years of experience in the development of residential real estate and commercial projects in eastern Austria. Mr. Heilig holds a degree in Master Business Administration and Management from the University of Applied Science for Business Administration and Management.
