Special Envoy for Green Industry at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology

Dr. Michael Losch is Special Envoy for Green Industrial Policy in the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology. Prior to this recent appointment he served four years as Austrian Director General for Energy and Mining and twelve years as Austrian Director General for Economic Policy, Innovation and Technology. From 1997 to 2004 Michael Losch worked in the European Commission, two years in the context of liberalisation of energy markets in DG Energy and five years as Member of Cabinet of Agriculture Commissioner Franz Fischler. Michael Losch studied at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien and at HEC in Paris.
